The Department of Engineering Surveying and Construction continues the traditions of the former Department of Industrial Surveying, established in 1952, and the Department of Building and Engineering, which has been active since 1951. The staff of the Department thus naturally form two Teams: 

• Engineering Surveying Team, 
• Construction Team. 

The staff of the Department of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering teach extensively at the Faculty of Mining and Geoengineering and the Faculty of Oil and Gas Drilling. 

The broadest teaching offer is addressed to students of Geodesy and Cartography, specialisation: Engineering and Industrial Surveying.
